The “wild chic” cocoon
“Direction Megève, where the Lodge Park, a large chalet with ochre walls and white shutters, deploys its universe of stone, fireplaces, fur throws and English tartan. To stay there for a few days is to have a direct view of the bell tower of Megève. And the perspective does not end there: beyond the center and the Chamois cable car, immediate neighbor to hit the slopes. The panorama extends to the surrounding mountains: Mont-Blanc, Mont d'Arbois, Mont Joly or even Mont Joux. Past the threshold, the decor is more subdued. We leave the hustle and bustle of the village for a soothing atmosphere: seats in leather, velvet, fur, and the undivided reign of wood, raw log walls to pieces carved in deer antlers. It can be seen on the walls made of raw wooden logs or even in pieces of furniture carved from deer antlers. Play a game of backgammon by the fire, sink into a weathered Chesterfield to read, or enjoy hot chocolate in the bar that looks like a refined tavern. A cozy, lived-in and subtly chic atmosphere.”

“The rooms? The Lodge Park has 35 rooms and suites, ranging from 25 to 90 m². In each one, the cocoon spirit is assured: headboard in fur or saddler-style leather, sections of tartan walls, carpets and generous curtains. Some suites add fireplaces, living rooms, and balconies. The “Executive” suites even have a Nordic bath on their private terrace, while the Master Suite is distinguished by a bar area.
Its assets? Upon returning from the slopes, several options are available to the hosts. A fully equipped gym to prolong the effort, a tea time to relax in the heat or the Longevity Spa to relax. On 1,000 m², the wellness area combines a heated indoor pool, sauna, sauna, steam room, ice cave and advanced protocols involving cryotherapy, oxygenation in a hyperbaric chamber or photobiomodulation.
What makes the difference? The immersive “wild chic” design with nods to the alpine life of yesteryear: cowhides, tree stump diverted into a coffee table, antique snowshoes and vintage skis animating the walls. And the excellent restaurant in Mégève, the Beef Lodge, a steakhouse that celebrates farmed meat cooked in the Argentine oven.”
