Beef Lodge the new haunt for lovers of good meat.
In the very heart of the Lodge Park, the Beef Lodge restaurant, a trapper-style lair, proposes a menu based on the best cuts of meat, selected from the cattle farms by Metzger Frères, legendary butchers from father to son, THE benchmark for excellence.
At the top of the list: prime rib of Black Angus or Bavarian beef, fillet of Simmental beef, choice cuts of Iberian pork, lamb and veal. Only the very best cuts chosen for their colour, tenderness and juiciness, as well as how good they smell and, of course, taste! They will be enhanced either by slow roasting on a spit, with juices lovingly ladled over the meat by the roaster, or in a pastry-sealed pot, a method of steam cooking that is ideal for flavor and tenderness. You can even choose your sauce! Arbois wine or rare Madagascar peppercorn sauce, or red onion chutney… The same goes for your vegetables: homemade mashed potato with dairy or truffle-flavoured butter, oven-baked Beaufort, green polenta with Comté cheese, old-style vegetables in hogweed butter, freshly-picked spinach sprouts… just to give a few examples. In fact, we think that there is really quite a “beefy” choice!
Fish and seafood lovers will really enjoy the turbot cooked in a pastry-sealed pot or snacked langoustines and creamed celery with a lobster bisque sauce.
Desserts are pure heaven for those with a sweet tooth… creamy iced cream puff with grand cru chocolate, cheesecake-style tart with raspberries cooked in juice, Aubenas chestnuts fondant with pecan and maple syrup ice cream…
It must be said that when the chef is enjoying himself, it’s all of the lodge Park that trembles with happiness at the idea of pleasing its guests, who we prefer to call its “lovers of life”, since we mustn’t forget that the French word viande (meat) comes from the Latin “Vivendi”: the food that gives man life.
